Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic team captain who won gold in 2012. The six Olympic gold medals form part of a record-breaking total. Additionally, she was one of the two World Champion teams. Aly born in Massachusetts was captivated by gymnastics as young as just 18 months. She attended a mommy and me class. Aly has been an active proponent of body positivity and is an active leader as well as a participant on the floor. She recently spoke out in Larry Nassar's sentencing case. Born in 1994, Aly Raisman started gymnastics as a child and was a part of her U.S. gymnastics team win the 2011 World Championships. In 2012, the gymnast won two golds at the London Olympics the first at the team event and one for individual floor exercises in addition to an Olympic bronze medal on the beam. Raisman was awarded silver medals in both the individual and floor finals of the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Additionally, she brought home a gold medal in the competition for team gymnastics. Raisman confessed in 2017 she was sexually abused by a former team doctor Larry Nassar. The following year, she filed suit in the name of USA Gymnastics as well as the U.S. Olympic Committee.
